On Mondays we listen to our reading story for our center rotation. Sometimes I just don’t think that listening is enough. In first grade there was time to listen to the story and do a reader’s response. However, the stories in 5th grade are longer and there isn’t enough time to do the sheet also, so I just made it the seat work rotation. I include the skill and strategy for the week and then something we need to review. Including basic skills such as author/illustrator/genre/etc feel free to use it.
